Featuring a custom finish inspired by the famous Jimi Hendrix concert poster at the Shrine Auditorium in 1968, this pedal recreates the eerie, growling fuzz sound the guitar legend used in several iconic performances.

This special edition Band of Gypsys Fuzz pays homage to the legendary Jimi Hendrix with a custom finish inspired by the famous 1968 Shrine Auditorium concert poster by prolific and celebrated rock artist John Van Hamersveld. A buzzsaw starburst, peaceful sunflowers and psychedelic lettering awash in warm, vibrant colors highlight the magic of contrasting forces.

Housed in a miniature body, the Jimi Hendrix '68 Shrine Series Band of Gypsys Fuzz is based on a mysterious Fuzz Face Distortion that Jimi Hendrix used at several iconic shows between 1969 and 1979, most notably in the Band of Gypsys performance. Red with white knobs, this particular fuzz is completely different from the other Fuzz Faces in his arsenal, snarling with an aggressive, rasping sound. The pedal itself is now history, but its unmistakable sound lives on in recordings. Dunlop engineers identified that sound as an Octavio circuit that did not have the pedal's famous octave-up effect. After making some modifications, they created the Band of Gypsys Fuzz Face Mini Distortion. Now you can get the same sound that Jimi used to wow the masses at some of his most famous performances.
