HX Effects offre oltre 100 effetti provenienti dai pluripremiati processori hardware e software Helix, il tutto in un formato compatto, adatto alla pedaliera, ed è possibile utilizzare fino a nove effetti contemporaneamente. Inoltre, sono inclusi anche gli effetti legacy dei celebri pedali Line 6 M-Series e Stompbox Modeler. Modifica senza sforzo gli effetti utilizzando gli otto footswitch capacitivi, i sei LCD con scribble strip e gli anelli LED colorati. Basta toccare un footswitch con il dito per raggiungere immediatamente qualsiasi effetto, regolare rapidamente un parametro o assegnare controller. HX Effects offre anche la scelta tra true bypass analogico reale o DSP bypass ed una gamma dinamica di 123dB leader del settore, che offreno una profondità eccezionale ed un rumore bassissimo. Ampie possibilità di routing e di controllo offrono flessibilità in studio o sul palco e facilitano l'integrazione con pedaliere ed amplificatori tradizionali. Gli effetti HX ricreano accuratamente il comportamento anche degli effetti vintage più idiosincratici modellando i loro singoli componenti. Ad esempio, il processo Transtronic emula il comportamento unico di più componenti in germanio e silicio, rendendo possibile ricreare in modo autentico fuzz, distorsioni ed altri pedali, considerati una volta troppo difficoltosi da modellare in modo convincente; il Throbber è una 'lampadina virtuale' che riproduce il comportamento decisamente non lineare della piccola lampadina a incandescenza e delle quattro fotocellule all'interno dei pedali Shin-ei Uni-Vibe originali, essenziali per il loro suono e l'atmosfera unica. HX Effects ti permette anche di caricare le risposte agli impulsi (IR) dei cabinet di terze parti per il routing stage / FOH e la risonanza del body di una chitarra acustica.
