The Power Burst is the boost pedal of the "Valvenergy" series by Vox , equipped with a Nutube valve. Characterized by the particular LED display that shows the response of the signal on the effect, it is composed of a single knob and three modes, TREBLE to emphasize the high frequencies, NATURAL for a natural response and MIDDLE to emphasize the medium frequencies. As with all Valvenergy pedals, the Power Burst recreates tube sounds, providing the typical natural compression of a tube amp.

The POWER BURST is a single-knob, three-mode booster that delivers a natural sense of compression and saturation. While maintaining a natural tone, it does more than just boost volume. By turning the Boost knob, you get “tube-like” compression and saturation. Whether you want to push the envelope during a guitar solo, or add power without altering the sonic character of other gear when paired with this unit, the POWER BURST is the ideal pedal.
POWER BURST delivers a sound with a “rich sustain,” allowing you to effectively express blues guitar techniques such as bending and vibrato. Plus, cranking the BOOST all the way up and driving the amp produces a classic rock sound.
BOOST Knob: Adjusts the amount of boost. Turning it to the right adds tube-like saturation and compression.
Mini Switch: Offers three modes base on personal preference.
TREBLE : emphasizes high frequencies, suitable for situations where you want to highlight the highs.
NATURAL : Natural tube sound mode, which serves as the standard mode.
MIDDLE : Emphasizes midrange frequencies, ideal for producing a thick sound or during solo performances.

Newly designed buffer circuit
To fully exploit the potential of the Nutube, a high-quality buffer for the initial stage, which serves as the guitar’s primary input point, was essential. Accordingly, Vox designed a dedicated buffer circuit to meet this requirement. When the effects are turned off, the Nutube functions as a bypass, providing a natural response and lightweight feel similar to plugging directly into the amp. With the effects engaged, the buffer’s characteristics are synergized with the Nutube’s signature compression, resulting in a smooth, natural playing experience with nuances that enhance the performance.
Sound-inspired engraved design
The new chassis' top panel features an etched design inspired by the unique sound of each effect pedal.
