The MXR M305 Tremolo is the guitar effects pedal that marks the return of Tremolo to the acclaimed MXR line of effects pedals. The M305 combines a full range of classic Tremolo sounds, optimized and integrated with some features capable of satisfying the expectations of even the most demanding modern musician.
With six available waveforms, the M305 perfectly represents the classic tremolo sounds that inspired the M305 as well as new sounds dreamed up by the MXR design team. The MXR style recreates the organic sound and pulse of the beloved MXR M159 Stereo Tremolo. The Bias style mimics the rich, powerful compression found in early '60s tube amp tremolo effects. Revo, an original innovation, transforms the optical tremolo waveform by flipping it upside down for exaggerated tonal excursion. The Opto style emulates the pulsating tremolo generated by photocells in many popular amplifiers. Inspired by an iconic outboard effect, the SQR setting produces a choppy, super-pronounced tremolo. Finally, the Harmony style recreates the trippy, phaser-like tremolo produced by some rare vintage amplifiers.
Getting a ready-to-play sound from the M305 Tremolo is easy with the SPEED, GAIN, and DEPTH controls that respectively control the speed, volume, and intensity of the selected effect. To cycle through the six Tremolo styles, simply press the gain knob. For the sound-hunting enthusiast, several additional functions are available, from stereo operation to tap tempo control, from the possibility of using an expression pedal to the envelope effect that makes the response of the effect sensitive to your attack.
The MXR M305 Tremolo can be powered by Jim Dunlop 's ECB003 9-volt adapter, DC Brick, Iso-Brick and Mini Iso-Brick (not included). It cannot be battery powered.
