Compared to a traditional two-way speaker, the sound is distributed much more uniformly in the listening area both outdoors and in closed and acoustically difficult or reverberant environments. The cylindrical wave front of the CLA offers the pleasant effect of having the sound projected forward very present and precise, without reverberations typical of traditional speakers that excite reflections of the environment directing acoustic energy where not necessary, especially in the ceiling and floor.
Acoustic feedback to the microphones is also greatly reduced allowing for much higher gain margin.
The very narrow and elongated shape allows the column to be integrated into any environment in a very discreet and non-invasive way.
