TRBX 174 è un eccezionale modello base di basso adatto ai principianti o ai bassisti avanzati con un budget limitato. Questo basso elettrico color blu scuro offre il caratteristico suono, suonabilità e qualità Yamaha ad un prezzo accessibile. Il corpo è realizzato in ontano che dona allo strumento un suono pieno con bassi profondi, medi ricchi e alti brillanti. Il manico in acero con 24 tasti monta una tastiera in palissandro e grazie alla larghezza del capotasto di soli 40 mm si lascia suonare facilmente da mani piccole e grandi.
TRBX 174 DBM: elettronica polivalente
Il nucleo elettronico del TRBX174 è rappresentato da due pickup single coil, ciascuno dei quali dispone di un proprio regolatore del volume, permettendo così di mixare i suono di entrambi. Al ponte è montato un single coil J-style che garantisce un sound limpido, pulito e solido. Il pickup P-style al centro è un cosiddetto split coil: per ogni coppia di corde è presente una bobina separata e assieme funzionano come un humbucker. Il risultato è un suono profondo, vibrante, senza quel fastidioso ronzio a 50 Hz. Il basso dispone anche di un regolatore del tono master che permette di filtrare le frequenze alte a seconda delle preferenze.
