DRUM PEDAL
The bass drum pedal "or bass drum" is of fundamental importance to be able to play the bass drum.
The pedal has a very recent history, in fact the first products date back to the end of the 19th century. The spring that makes the pedal return has a variable tension and can be customized base on the result you want to obtain and the force you want to apply with your leg.
Choosing the right pedal for a drummer is of fundamental importance, of course the size of the foot and other personal factors of the drummer count.

Construction
The material used mainly for the construction of the pedal is steel. There are several parts that compose it:
- Base: it is the main part dedicated to the support of the foot.
- The attachment: is the device that allows the attachment to the case.
- Plate: used to transfer the force of the foot to the transmission
- Transmission: serves to connect the force applied by the foot to the striker, they are made with different materials and there are different types: chain, double chain, belt and direct traction.
- Beater: this is the part that comes into contact with the bass drum skin. It is mainly made of felt, but there are also other types such as wood or plastic.
- Spring: used to make the door go back.
