KROSS 2 now has 128 MB of PCM memory. Optional sound libraries will be released

for this instrument, which will allow to further expand its timbral possibilities, so as to

fully satisfy any stylistic and executive need.

Sampling with the 16 Sampler Pads

For the first time in an instrument of this class, KROSS 2 can

sample, and play the Samples via the 16 Pads on the panel. You can record from the LINE IN jack and

assign a Stereo sample to each Pad with a maximum duration of 14 seconds, they can be activated simultaneously

up to 4 Pads. A wide range of Sample Waveform Editing functions are available

such as: Start/End, Loop Point, Normalize, and even Resampling, to resample directly inside

KROSS 2, all without the need for any additional equipment. In addition, the Pads can be assigned

even longer audio files stored on an SD card.

Instant access to sounds and functions - It's easy

navigate on KROSS 2, thanks to the intuitive Layout. The instrument panel has been further improved

compared to the first model, thus ensuring quick access to the desired sounds and functions from the wide

range available.

Real-time Controls Section - The new control section

in real time allows you to act directly on the main parameters of KROSS 2 without having to go through many

menu. In addition to real-time control of sounds, effects, and Program editing, these knobs can

be used to easily change the vocoder settings, or adjust the tempo of the arpeggiator and

sequencer.

Favorites function - Allows you to store sound resources

(Program & Combi), used most frequently, and to recall them immediately, there are 128 FAVORITE locations

internally quickly and efficiently.

Lightweight and compact, with battery operation option

KROSS 2 is lightweight and portable with a new and elegant design, its weight is

been further reduced. Further improvements in energy efficiency allow up to seven hours of

battery operated with 6 AA batteries. The 88-key model also has an accessory compartment that can

contain spare batteries or cables, as well as the easily accessible battery panel on the front side. On

both models, the KORG logo on the rear panel is illuminated, as a distinctive element on the

stage.

Audio Player/Recorder controlled via the Pads

The built-in stereo audio recorder lets you record your performances on the KROSS 2,

also superimposing an external sound source such as the voice. It is also possible to manage the playback

of audio from the 16 Pads, assigning sounds or imported audio files to them. Unlike sampling, the Audio Recorder

allows for longer recording times, and playback is limited only by the capacity of the SD card we are using.

Connect a microphone to sing or use the Vocoder

KROSS 2 features a 1/4" MIC IN jack for directly connecting a microphone,

without the need to use external equipment. In addition to the microphone, you can connect a device

external device such as an audio player or a sound generator, thanks to a special LINE INPUT Stereo Mini-jack socket. On the

voice is also available an effective Vocoder effect, with typical sounds, controllable in real time

via the dedicated section on the panel.

USB Audio Interface Functions

The KROSS 2's USB port, in addition to transmitting and receiving MIDI data, can operate

also as an audio interface, you can connect KROSS 2 to your computer (Mac or Windows), and record to your DAW,

or play the instrument in combination with iPad or iPhone. In this regard they can be used as sound generators

additional, high-quality Apps made by KORG, or you can perform using as support,

music tracks created with the KORG Gadget DAW application, all using a single USB cable.

A dedicated Editor and Plug-in Editor for KROSS 2 are also available. These

software allows the editing on the computer of all the synthesis parameters of the instrument, with their visualization

simultaneous on monitor. Or they allow complete management of the instrument within the DAW used, as if

was a software synthesizer.
