Today, the Etherwave Theremin continues this legacy with a refined design for the modern theremin performer. Combining the playability of an analog instrument with an unprecedented array of sonic options, the Moog Etherwave Theremin offers an accurate five-octave range with extremely balanced note spacing.
To create Bob Moog 's classic theremin circuit, the most advanced and up-to-date analog electronic components were used, further improving performance especially in the low frequency range.
The hand-finished wooden cabinet integrates the two traditional brass-plated antennas, as well as the input and output connections all located on the rear panel. The microphone asta adapter ensures quick installation.
Easily accessible front panel controls allow for rapid tonal changes, and antenna calibration is quick and easy. The I/O package is completed by a front panel headphone output with volume control and a convenient Mute button.
The Etherwave Theremin has all the features and functionality of a regular Theremin with the added ability to be used as a stand-alone CV controller to control external synthesizers and effects. The CV output control signals are proportional to the pitch and volume of the Theremin's audio signal, and you can connect the Etherwave Theremin to the pitch or volume CV inputs of a Subsequent 37 or other analog synth.
