Designed for music production and listening, the Focal Alpha EVO powered monitors guarantee excellent sound coherence for your setup. To optimize performance, Focal has chosen a 1” inverted dome aluminum tweeter, to ensure excellent and wide diffusion of high frequencies inside the listening station, and a special Slatefiber cone. This mid-bass woofer is produced exclusively by Focal in the Saint-Étienne factory and stands out because it is made of recycled carbon fiber mixed with thermoplastic polymer. The compound gives the cone a particular and pleasant blue color. The combination of these two materials results in very respectable acoustic performance in terms of transduction speed, rigidity and damping, which provide excellent dynamic performance and a more natural balance on the spectrum. Focal was the first company in the audio field in the world to use recycled carbon fiber in transducers.
The cabinet of the Focal Alpha EVO 65 amplified studio speakers is made of 15mm thick MDF reinforced by an internal structure that makes them extremely robust, minimizing acoustic susceptibility even at high sound pressure levels. The dimensions of this model are 339x261x289mm and the weight of each speaker is 7.6KG. The bass-reflex uses a wide front opening for a laminar air flow aimed at containing turbulence and distortions on the reproduced signal. This translates into excellent integration into any listening setup, whether at home, in a van or in a treated environment. The attention that Focal usually pays to design has led to the addition of attractive sides made of plastic panels that blend perfectly with both the concept of acoustic performance and the aesthetic objective.
