The TLM 102 large-diaphragm condenser microphone defines a new generation of studio products from Neumann . Designed specifically to reproduce singing voices, speech and all broadcast applications, it is also the ideal system for capturing sounds from particularly dynamic instruments with an aggressive and generous sound, such as percussion, drums, wind instruments and amplified instruments. From a technical point of view, the TLM 102 is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone with a cardioid polar pattern, directional, pressure gradient transducer, compact in size - smaller than its brother, the TLM 103 - but with classic Neumann characteristics. The ability to withstand high maximum sound pressure levels is accompanied by a slight emphasis above 6 kHz and the use of a technology that avoids the use of transformers.
