Designed for critical listening in the recording studio, the Shure SRH840A headphones feature a thinner, lighter design, with a completely redesigned structure compared to the previous model, foldable, that adapts perfectly to the head. Black, with gold-colored finishes and stitching, they are aesthetically appreciated in video and photo shooting, making them also suitable for radio and television studios, for live streaming and podcasting.

Featuring a well-padded metal-reinforced headband with breathable woven fabric against the head, the Shure SRH840A professional headphones provide excellent physical balance and a snug fit, without weighing you down during long work sessions. The closed circumaural design features replaceable cushioned earcups that provide excellent passive isolation, which rotate to adapt to any listening needs, such as single-channel monitoring.

On the acoustic front, transduction is entrusted to drivers with 40mm neodymium magnets hand-selected for an optimal coupling with precise, coherent and neutral sound output to meet the needs of professional musicians and sound engineers in studio monitoring. All construction precautions that translate into a contained harmonic distortion (Low THD), in the almost imperceptible artifacts and in the absence of sound coloration on the wide spectrum that the Shure SRH840A headphones are able to cover. Essential requirements in headphones for producers, which allow us to more adequately evaluate the dynamics of our tracks, the result of the compressions, the intervention of the limiters, the balance and positioning of the various instruments in the sound field. 

A detailed sound, with natural high frequencies, to allow us to focus on any clicks, noises or other imperfections and to support us in the editing phases, in sound design and in additional production. The sound signature of the Shure SRH840A headphones is respectful of the original material, well balanced across the entire spectrum (from 5Hz to 25kHz) for excellent translation of the mix, particularly valuable in the low frequencies compared to other headphones in the same price range and useful as a reference in the treatment of vocal parts.

The Shure SRH840A comes with a 3-meter long “straight” cable that can be removed thanks to the bayonet connector that ensures a safe and optimal lock on the left earcup where the dedicated socket is located. We can move freely in the studio while listening to our mixes, switch from the control desk to our synths while producing, play while moving as we usually do on stage. The cable ends with a 1/8” mini-jack connector and is supplied with the appropriate gold-plated ¼” (6.3 mm) jack adapter. If you can no longer do without your Shure SRH840A headphones, with the RMCH1-UNI accessory cable (not included) equipped with a TRRS connector, microphone and control panel you can also use them with your smartphone, tablet or computer to make phone or video calls.
