Scarlett OctoPre is an 8-channel ADAT analogue-to-digital converter and preamplifier featuring Focusrite ’s second-generation Scarlett preamps. In addition to its eight input channels, Scarlett OctoPre includes eight direct line outputs that can be used, for example, directly to a stage mixer for live performance or in a rehearsal room, or as a standalone analogue microphone preamp.
The Focusrite Scarlett OctoPre is ideal for expanding any quality multi-channel DAW recording system, adding eight analogue inputs to your ADAT-equipped audio interface, mixer or card. With high-headroom mic, line and instrument inputs, it's perfect for recording drums, guitars, keyboards, vintage analogue synths, vocals and more.

The newly designed Instrument (HiZ) inputs let you effortlessly and faithfully record any type of guitar, even those with very powerful pickups. Redesigned for competitive sensitivity, it enhances the sound of any guitar or bass, faithfully reproducing its dynamics and frequency content. The latest-generation converters built into Scarlett Octopre enable recording at a sampling frequency of up to 192 kHz and a bit rate of 24 bit.
