Superior Acoustic and Electric Piano Sounds from Grandstage X
Grandstage X owns 7 distinct sound generators each of which can function independently producing high-quality sounds across a wide variety of tone families. The Grandstage X acoustic pianos are generated by the module SGX-2 the same one successfully employed in synth workstations Nautilus And Chronos, and includes a large library of world-renowned pianos. SGX-2 allows the use of Loop-free Samples sampled on all keys, up to 12 dynamic levels, with damper pedal resonance and the reproduction of mechanical noise. Grandstage X has 13 main acoustic pianos, including 6 famous grand pianos selected from the most renowned German, Italian and Japanese. The new GSX Piano and Nautilus Piano can also be layered with the GSX Far Piano and Nautilus Far Piano to create the piano environment that best suits your individual needs. Other acoustic piano sounds include uprights and grands, such as the OASYS Piano that is very popular among bands, the legendary KORG SG1D, the M1 Piano essential for 80s and 90s POP, the vintage instrument fortepiano and much more. Also available are 3 mono piano timbres and a further variation centered on the mid frequencies. These mono piano sounds are obtained from a dedicated source, with a spectrum that does not interfere with the frequencies of other instruments in a band.
Electric plans are produced via the module EP-1 which uses proprietary technology MDS (Multi-Dimensional Synthesis), which allows you to obtain all the expressive nuances of these instruments. Tine I Early It is the main model that produces the characteristic pleasantly distorted tone produced by the percussion of a metal bar (Tine), which can be heard on many classical records. The library also includes other 7 sounds of electric piano Vintage: Tine I Late, Tine II, Tine V, DMP 200 And 200A, based on the percussion of reeds (Reed), German EP And EP Tablets. The careful programming of these sounds also includes the insertion of the amplifiers, cabinets and even the effects most used at the time with these instruments.
The CX-3, VOX and FC-1 organ sounds of Grandstage X
The Tonewheel Organ GeneratorCX-3Accurately reproduces the famous KORG Combo Organ of the same name. The same versatile sound engine also generates the VOX transistor organ sound that was popular in the 1960s and had a major influence on pop music. Or the FC-1, the other transistor organ that was a star of this era. Each organ sound also accurately modeled and integrated the amplifier and Rotary Speaker, and various characteristic Vibrato types, resulting in highly realistic simulation.
AL-1 and HD-1 Sound Libraries
Grandstage X has a sound library with 700 Program. In addition to the generators already mentioned, Grandstage X includes the AL-1, a module that produces the typical sounds of these synthesizers through analog physical modeling such as: Pad, Ambient, Brass, Lead, etc. And also the HD-1 which uses a large PCM area with many categories of instruments such as the Clavinet D and the Clavinet sampled on 8 layers, harpsichords, pipe organs, Electric Grand, FM electric pianos and much more.
The Design of Grandstage X
Grandstage X It is made with a modern and distinctive design, immediately recognizable on every stage. The painted aluminum cabinet is characterized by soft curves, while other curves that rise from the bottom to the sides are made of perforated metal. The vintage and futuristic look at the same time is combined with the light ivory white top panel that creates an unmistakable character.
Expressive Control of Grandstage X
Via the slider Key Touch on the panel you can control in real time the ratio with which volume and timbre vary in base to the velocity detected on the keys. In this way it is possible to immediately customize the dynamic response of the instrument in base to the type of music being played.
The 3 Sections Split and Layer
Grandstage X can organize the sounds of your sound library on 3 Split & Layer sections. Their management takes place through 3 dedicated buttons and 3 sliders, to activate each section and adjust its relative level. Layer and Split can also be used simultaneously, for example, the right hand can play an overlap (Layer) of piano and strings, while the left hand can accompany with a bass.
Analog Heat with NuTube
Analog Tone offers an authentic and inimitable analog effect obtained through the NuTube valve. The ON/OFF button on the panel activates or deactivates the effect, while the dedicated knob adjusts the amount.
The RH3 Keybed
Grandstage X adopts a Keybed RH3 Real Weighted Hammer Action that accurately simulates the touch of an authentic concert grand piano action, including the tactile variation due to the different mass of the hammers in the lower and upper areas of the keyboard. A solid, consistent keyboard that allows maximum expressive control by the performer.
Unison function
On Grandstage X there is a new feature "Unison", familiar to analog synthesizer users but virtually unique to Stage pianos. Unison adds more to the sounds of FM synths or digital pianos thickness Anddensity, adjustable parameters via a dedicated Slider, bringing these timbres out into every mix, with an interesting dynamic expansion effect.
Reverb, Delay, EQ
Grandstage X offers easy control of the reverb and delay ambience effects directly from the main panel, allowing you to quickly switch between effect types and adjust their depth. There is also a new reverb type Shimmer and a 3-band equalizer that can adjust the overall character of the sound in base to the acoustic response of each room.
Rhythm and Chord Progression function
Grandstage X has the function Rhythm & Chord Progression useful for study and practice that is an evolution of the Drum Track present in many KORG Synth Workstations. The actual rhythm track, composed of drums and bass, can be controlled directly by the chords played on the keyboard or by a preset harmonic progression.
Wooden stand (optional)
On Grandstage X you can use a dedicated stable stand made of wood: ST-WLS (sold separately). This accessory has been specifically designed to match the original design of the piano. The elegance of the wood, the material from which the stand is made, makes it perfect for any living room, studio or stage. The material from which the legs are made comes from responsibly managed forests.
