Over 200 styles are brand new, with all existing styles completely updated to use new voices and effects, including FM tone generation and the ability to use ambient drums and style dynamics control. The result is high-end professional production.
One of the most important sounds for any keyboard player is the piano, so not only has Yamaha added new pianos, but they have also reworked existing pianos to a much higher quality. The CFX, being Yamaha 's flagship grand piano, now has more dynamic levels, 88-key sampling, and double the sample length of its predecessor. Additionally, you can choose between a Character Grand, which is a well-played 1980s German grand piano, which offers a sharper yet rounded sound, perfect for Pop and Jazz music. The U1 Upright, Yamaha high-end upright piano, has been tuned to provide a contemporary flavor to modern pop songs.
If you’re looking for a more cinematic sound, you can try the rich, melancholic sound of the new Felt Piano. The SA2 voices remain at the forefront of playability and realism, providing articulations and legatos unmatched in any hardware keyboard instrument. For the first time in an Arranger workstation, Genos2 features a dual-engine tone generator with not only AWM technology but now also FM synthesis. FM has a rich, dynamic sound and is powered by the legendary Yamaha DX7, an instrument that defined the sound of the 80s. The iconic DX7 presets and a range of new, modern FM voices are built into the Styles and One Touch settings and available to play at the touch of a button, bringing a warm, fresh sound to Genos2.
